Anna's Recipes for Men

  • Impress Her with These Pork Chops
    These fantastic looking pork chops require 5 minutes work. They taste so delicious that we suggest you make a couple extras.

  • Fish for Someone Special in 10 minutes
    The key for this recipe is an hour of marinating in lime juice. You will need to do a bit of garlic and ginger chopping.

  • Deserts She'll Die for in Just 3 Minutes - coming soon...
    Nothing helps a woman's heart melt faster than deserts. Serve this ice cream the way she's never had it before.

Impressive Pork Chops

- Buy some nice pork chops, don't be cheap.
- Buy 2 small boxes of spices: cardamom and nutmeg.
- Buy 1 jar of apple sauce (buy natural stuff).
- Buy one apple.

  1. Place pork chops on a tray (cover with foil; don't use oil);
  2. Prick the chops with a knife all over (for better absorption);
  3. Sprinkle the chops with salt, cardamom, and nutmeg;
  4. Spread a thick layer of apple sauce all over;
  5. Peel and cut an apple in very thin slices;
  6. Cover the shops with the apple slices (nicely).
  7. Put the chops in the fridge and wait an hour or so (for best results).
  8. Bake without cover for 35 minutes at F450.
  9. In you overbake the chops, simply scrub the apple slices off. The chops will still taste great!

Serve the chops with small round potatoes. You don't need to peel the potatoes, just scrub them well before boiling. The trick here is not to overboil the potatoes, so check them often. Dry potatoes on a paper towel before putting them on a plate. If you have green, yellow or red produce, put several slices on a plate as well, it will make your chops look magnificent. A bottle of sweet white wine will go well with this dish ('Black Tower' is the easiest choice).

If she doesn't like these chops, dump her! She won't like anything you do.

Fish for Someone Special

- Buy 2 pieces of trout or salmon fillets (thin pieces)
- Buy ginger root, 3 cloves of garlic, 2 limes, and half a cup of fresh dill or coriander leaves (they are usually sold in the vegetable section). All these need to be chopped finely.
- Buy 2 spices: cardamom and cumin

  1. Place fish fillets on the tray
  2. Prick them with pork all over (gently)
  3. Squeeze limes and pour juice over the fillets (yes, it takes a lot of lime juice)
  4. Sprinkle with salt, cardamom and cumin
  5. Chop finely garlic, ginger and dill (or coriander) leaves and spread them over the fillets. They say ginger fights cancer, so use it, it adds great flavor. Garlic won't bite, once it's cooked, don't worry, use it generously.
  6. Cover with foil and place in the fridge for about an hour (do not let the fish dry out, cover well).
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes at no higher than 450F. Do not overbake, otherwise fish will be too dry.

Serve with rice and dry white wine (not sweet). To decorate, place a few slices of row tomatoes on the plate. To spice it up a bit more, throw on a place a couple of green or black pitted olives from a can.
